Gemeinsam unternehmen wir die ersten Skitouren und nehmen uns Zeit, die Grundlagen zu erlernen und tolle Erlebnisse auf den ersten Skitouren zu sammeln. Wir wollen dir das Skitourengehen so zeigen, wie wir es selbst lieben und geniessen. Kurze, angenehme Aufstiege in gemütlichem Tempo gefolgt von schönen, wenig steilen Abfahrten im Pulverschnee. Wir schauen uns gemeinsam an, wie man mit den Skiern aufsteigt und geben Tipps für die Abfahrt im Tiefschnee. In diesen Tagen lernst du die Grundlagen vom Skitouren und machst erste Übungen mit dem Handling von LVS, Schaufel und Sonde.
Während den zwei Tagen haben wir Zeit auf deine Bedürfnisse einzugehen und wir nehmen uns Zeit für mehr Pausen als sonst.

Das Lidernengebiet oberhalb von Riemenstalden im Kanton Schwyz bietet dafür ideale Voraussetzungen. Die abwechslungsreichen Hänge, die geschützte Lage und die beeindruckende Aussicht von den Glarner bis zu den Urner Alpen machen das Gebiet zu einem echten Skitourenparadies. Dank der meist günstigen Schneeverhältnisse und der Vielzahl an Touren eignet sich die Region perfekt, um Theorie und Praxis direkt zu verbinden – vom sanften Spilauerstock bis hin zum aussichtsreichen Rossstock oder Blüemberg.

Unser Stützpunkt, die gemütliche Lidernenhütte auf 1’727 m, liegt mitten im Tourengebiet und ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für unsere Ausbildungstage. Hier erwartet dich eine herzliche Atmosphäre, feines Essen und eine warme Stube, in der wir den Tag reflektieren und die nächste Tour planen können. Vielleicht ist es das erste Mal für dich in einer SAC Hütte. Gerne zeigen wir dir, wie es auf den Hütten zugeht und wie du Aufenthalt geniessen kannst.

      09:15 Uhr Riemenstalden, Chäppeliberg

      Wir treffen uns bei der Talstation der Seilbahn Chäppeliberg in Riemenstalden. Hier lernen wir uns kennen und starten gleich mit dem Kennenlernen der Ausrüstung.

      Parkplätze sind vorhanden.

      Für alle, die mit ÖV anreisen empfiehlt sich eine Platzreservation für den Bus von Sisikon-Riemenstalden, diese kann unter der Nummer: 041 817 75 00 gemacht werden.

      We go on a leisurely ski tour together and take the time to look at and discuss everything we need to know. As usual, we look for the best snow and enjoy a great descent. We spend the evening at the cosy Lidernenhütte with a magnificent sunset!

      Daily destination: First experiences in ski touring, familiarisation with safety equipment.

    • Day 2 - Apply and consolidate

      Another leisurely ski tour, today we start directly in the area so we can be the first to set off. We look for secluded terrain and deepen and consolidate what we learnt the day before. We enjoy the rhythmic ascent and look for the best snow to ski down. We enjoy the time together and learn new things. At the end of the day we are allowed to ski down to the car park!

      Daily destination: You build on what you have learnt and become more confident in its application. You will gain a clear impression of what ski touring is and what it requires.

      After a great weekend, we finish the course together again at the Chäppeliberg car park.

  • Requirements

    • No previous ski touring experience required.
    • Experience in skiing on the black piste.
    • Stamina for short ski tours with an ascent of around 800 metres at a leisurely pace (~300m/h)
  • Price and services

    • CHF 490.-
    • Small group with 4 - 8 guests per mountain guide.
    • Including professional planning and realisation with a mountain guide and his travel expenses.
    • Including overnight stay in a hut and half board
    • Excluding travel expenses, possible train tickets, personal consumption.

        • You can collect this from the Sport Trend Shop with our booking confirmation and pay there. Please contact STS in advance to reserve the equipment. Collection on Friday and return by Tuesday.

The Lidernenhütte, situated at 1,727 metres in the Schwyz Alps high above Lake Lucerne, is an ideal base for hikers, climbers and ski tour groups.

Information on endurance and technique

Here you will find the organisation of our tours as a guideline. If you are unsure which level suits you best, feel free to get in touch - We can help you!

Technics

Technology 1 - for beginners

Easy tours, suitable for beginners. The terrain is easy and moderate. No previous mountaineering experience is necessary.

Ski toursSafe skiing on the black piste in the ski area. No previous knowledge of ski touring necessary.

Technique 2 - Leisurely tours

Easy to slightly challenging tours with short, steeper sections that we master together and with coaching. You are ready for this level after a basic or taster course.

Ski toursFirst off-piste experience up to approx. 30° slope gradient. You have mastered the basic techniques of ski touring and have some experience of hairpin bends.

Technique 3 - Medium tours

Medium-difficulty tours with short, technical sections that are easy to do with some previous experience. You have already done a few tours and feel confident with your equipment and technique.

Ski toursYou are confident in off-piste terrain up to a slope angle of approx. 35° and are proficient in hairpin bends in a variety of terrain. 

Technique 4 - First big tours

Challenging tours with longer, steeper passages that require a good level of experience and skill. We secure these sections with ropes and coach you through difficult sections. Suitable for adventure-seekers with solid basic training.

Ski toursSafe skiing in steep off-piste terrain (up to approx. 40°), solid hairpin technique. First experience with rope manoeuvres, such as roping up on the glacier and abseiling.

Technique 5 - Grand tours

Very demanding tours, with technical passages that require a good level of experience and skill. These are secured, but smooth, rapid progress is required. For experienced climbers with plenty of experience and a thirst for adventure.

Ski toursYou are a very safe skier on steep, unsecured terrain. You are a master of hairpin turns in difficult conditions and have experience with rope manoeuvres and glacier equipment.

Endurance

Endurance 1 - Easy tours

Easy tours with plenty of time to take a break and enjoy.

  • Elevation gain: approx. 500 - 800 metres per day, 
  • Pace: approx. 250 - 300 m / h.
Endurance 2 - Leisurely tours

"Normal" tour at a leisurely pace with 800 - 1000 vertical metres per day, ~300 hm / h.

Endurance 3 - Medium tours

Longer tours at a steady, fluid pace. A solid basic level of fitness is required here.

  • Elevation gain: approx. 1200 metres per day
  • Pace: approx. 350 m / h.
Endurance 4 - First big tours

Long and challenging tours at a brisk but constant pace. Ideal for active sports enthusiasts.

  • Elevation gain: up to 1500 metres per day
  • Pace: approx. 350 m / h.
Endurance 5 - Long tours

Very long tours with more than 1500 metres in altitude per day. Requires very good fitness and stamina.

  • Elevation metres: 1500 m + per day
  • Pace: approx. 400 m / h.
