5-litre tour | Round tour Schilt to Lake Walen
Grandiose round tour from the Schilt ski lift with lots of downhill skiing!
After the turbulent weather, there is plenty of snow down to low altitudes! It's great that this makes it possible to do the "5-Liber" tour. A crossing of the Glarus Alps from the Schilt ski lift to just before Lake Walen! Back then, the Schilt ski lift cost 5 litres (5 francs), hence the name. According to the snow forecast, around 30-40cm will fall in this area, even at low altitudes. So we set off on this fantastic round tour with an ascent of almost 1000 metres and a descent of around 2000 metres! We don't mind if we have to walk down the last few minutes.
